4Product works great, but it *really* has a short cord
By Kenneth Lorton
This product works fantastic, I buffed a very large scuff mark out of my car with perfect results. However....

I saw the previous review on a short cord and kind of brushed it aside.. But the cord is *really* short. I had an industrial extension that was very heavy and the cord would pull out constantly, making it very difficult to use at times. If you're going to buy this product I would make sure you have a lightweight extension to plug it into.

That aside, a great product.

5Same as Turtle Wax Orbital Polisher.
By AKM
I wanted to buy this to wax our cars this weekend but didn't want to wait to have it shipped. So I bought an orbital polisher at Walmart for about $23 --- on the bottom of the box it actually says it's manufactured by Carrand. It's the exact same polisher, only blue. I wanted to buy something locally so I could purchase replacement pads easier and also so I didn't have to wait for shipping.

Just used it on a minivan and sedan - worked great. One pad seems to last for one whole car. I'd estimate it cuts down about 1/3 to 1/2 of the work waxing a car.

Also as a note, I accidentally purchased the 10" replacement pads for the 6" polisher - but they actually worked fine and stayed on.

5Great polisher and waxer
By Harry
Our Lexus LS 400 was starting to look a little dull. It has a very dark green, clear coat paint and any surface film or scratches are easily seen. I also have a 1938 Ford Woodie street rod that I baby and wanted to make the Lexus look as good as the street rod. A friend of mine recommended this polisher. I was a little skeptical as cars I have seen where a power polisher was used left swirl marks. I was very surprised after using this polisher for the polish process and then using it to put on and then polish off a nice coat of Carnuba wax. It had plenty of power and was very easy to control. The short cord that has previously been mentioned was not a problem as I kept the extension over my shoulder. This also kept the cord away from my feet and the side of the car. I did something a little different than was specified in the instructions and that is to use one of my micro fiber rags on the buffer for the final wax and polish. I just wrapped the rag up around the polisher with my hand and it worked perfectly. My only concern is the foam pad looks like it could eventually suffer damage or wear out and there is no information on how or where to get a replacement.

My next test will be to use the polisher on a vintage Porsche we own. The red paint has become oxidized and I am confident this polisher will make it look like new and not do any damage. This a great, quality tool.
